As you may be aware, Sonic passed away and we are hoping that those nearest and dearest to him will come and celebrate and honour him as we mourn the passing of a true legend (and a grumpy old git!)
Turning the funk-rock genre upside down, this trio have crafted a truly unique master sound that has been captivating audiences across the country. All together they give a truly dynamic performance with amazing vocals and guitar from Sal, phat slap bass from Alex, and mighty drumming courtesy of Jon.
A Roots-Rock and Americana band from North Wiltshire, featuring strong harmonies, some jangly guitar, some slide guitar, some fiddle. Two of the band are regulars at the folk sessions here, but you'll see them in a different light tonight!
Formed by two of the top bluesmen in the SouthWest UK, Mark Cole and Rick Edwards. They play a no-nonsense blend of electric and acoustic blues which includes traditional blues plus new originals. Their music also features occasional sidesteps into other American roots styles such as gospel, hillbilly, bluegrass, cajun and texmex.
Bob Bowles is known throughout the South West of England for his bluesy guitar playing and his soulful voice. He plays a mixture of acoustic and electric gigs either solo or with his band, Bob Bowles Band. Bob's guitar playing evokes the blues greats such as Rory Gallagher, Jimi Hendrix, Peter Green and Eric Clapton. Like these greats he celebrates musical tradition and lineage, honouring those with his own heartfelt writing and electrifying shows. Bob writes and performs his own songs and his varied set includes covers of Bob Dylan Jimi Hendrix, Van Morrison, and many more.
An evening of DJ's playing seldom heard or forgotten gems from across the globe. Anyone who feels they have tunes that should be heard contact us for a slot.
