Bob Bowles

Thursday April 24th 8.30pm

Bob Bowles is known throughout the South West of England for his bluesy guitar playing and his soulful voice. He plays a mixture of acoustic and electric gigs either solo or with his band, Bob Bowles Band. Bob's guitar playing evokes the blues greats such as Rory Gallagher, Jimi Hendrix, Peter Green and Eric Clapton. Like these greats he celebrates musical tradition and lineage, honouring those with his own heartfelt writing and electrifying shows. Bob writes and performs his own songs and his varied set includes covers of Bob Dylan Jimi Hendrix, Van Morrison, and many more.

Furlined

Friday May 2nd 8.30pm

Infectious hooks, rich vocals are the defining features of Furlined. The band's sound spans alt country and wry English chamber pop – "Morrissey meets Americana" as one review put it – and they have been likened to Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Richard Hawley and Orange Juice.
